Senior Prom!

Hi Everyone,

Wow! Here's a quick little life update: I have had quite a hectic week! Life has been nonstop since prom (which is somewhat of a good thing, there will be so much more post!) I have been delayed in posting my prom photos because right after prom, my class and I packed up our bags and headed off to Hawks Cay in the Florida Keys.  I couldn't think of a better location to create a few more memories with my friends before we head off to college! Immediately after we returned from the Keys, there was graduation rehearsal, graduation, and then #FAB4 graduation party!

I finally had some time to sit down and write, which is such a great feeling considering I have been constantly on the move this past week! I can't wait to update you on all of the end of the year celebrations, so let me begin with prom!

In all honesty, the typical "prom" look isn't really my thing.  Everything now of days is so gaudy and flashy, it was extremely hard to find a gown that reflects myself and my personality. This is so ironic considering last year (my first prom), I went for the total glitz gown.  Thankfully, I found Camilyn Beth.  Her designs are darling and she's totally talented!  I fell in love with this one gown and literally everything else I looked at couldn't compare to that gown! So, in typical Jillian fashion, I ordered it last minute and was elated that the dress fit like a glove.  I couldn't have been happier!

Kyle looked absolutely handsome in his navy suit and adorable flamingo bowtie from Collared Greens! It was hilarious, I remember telling him that since we looked so good, we should wear our outfits around town! It was honestly a night for the books and a great end to high school. Cherishing the time with the ones I love made the night so special.

Xoxo,

Jillian

Thank you Camilyn Beth for the sweet note you wrote me, your dress was stunning!

Costal Blues

As I'm coming to the end of high school, I can't help but dream about all the endless fun I will have this summer. It’s insane to wrap my mind around the idea that this summer will be my last summer of complete freedom. And what I mean by that is this is the last summer of no responsibilities, I’m still young enough to not have the weight of worries that come from jobs, college, and such.

I’m counting down the days till the start of summer. Recently, three of my best friends and I were surprised with a trip to NYC to kick off summer and we couldn't have asked for a better graduation present! Soon, Rachel, Mary, Hannah and I will be planning our trip to the City and if you have any recommendations, please don't hesitate to sent them my way!

Before I go, get this….Hari Mari, a Texas based flip flop brand, has teamed up with me! It's so exciting having the opportunity to work with them. I’m being completely honest when I say that, their flip flops are one of the best I have ever worn! They are extremely comfy and durable.  I can’t wait to take these along with me while I’m boating, headed to the beach, and everything in between. (Hari Mari also donates 1% of sales on every flip flop purchase to help kids who are battling pediatric cancer.  Great shoes with an even greater cause!) I'm hoping this summer will be full of sunshine and endless memories.

Xo,

Jillian

Dresses for Any Spring Occasion Under $100

Hey everyone,

Let me start off by saying I'm so sorry I have been slacking from posting, but this month has been quite hectic! My weekends have been bombarded with concerts, weddings, last minute end of the year assignments, and projects to wrap up high school. I know that everyone is busy in their daily lives, but it's so overwhelming to realize that in less than a few weeks, highschool will be over!

I’ll elaborate more on what I really learned in highschool and my biggest takeaways from those four years at another time, but as of today, I put together a few of my favorite dresses all under $100!  I'm currently looking to find the perfect dress and light colors for spring are a must.  My most favorite color to wear is a periwinkle blue (same color of my prom dress).

This season involves so many events, weddings, baccalaureate, senior trip, and most importantly, graduation!  These dresses are a must for any event, even perfect just to have as another spring dress for your wardrobe!

Hope you all enjoy,

Xoxo,

Jillian

A Visitor's Guide to Palm Beach

A few weeks ago when one of my best friends, Julianna, and I took a “mini day trip” to Palm Beach, I knew I had to create a visitor's guide for the little island! Not only was I inspired to make this travel guide, but stay tuned, I'm also going to create my favorite spots in Florida!

Palm Beach looks like it came strait out of a dream and all the bright colors bring such a true tropical feel. Each home and street is so picturesque, not to mention you are so close to the water! There's something for everyone, between the shops, history, and beaches, anyone can find their fit!

In this post I'm going to share a few of my favorite stops from restaurants, shops and where to stay in Palm Beach. Not to mention I'll also be sharing a few places I’ve been wanting to check out. Whether you live in Florida or out of state, Palm Beach is definitely worth the visit!

Places to Eat:

Located right on the famous “Worth Avenue”, Taboo’s ambiance screams the heart of Palm Beach. A great stop for lunch because no one likes to be hangry when you shop ;)

It’s hard not to go wrong here. Surfside is a retro-beachy inspired diner, delicious food options at a great price.

On a perfect sunny day, this is the place to be. Located by the pool at The Colony Hotel, this stop is a must. Great service and the food is amazing!!

Places to Stay

Just a few steps from Worth Avenue, each hallway of The Colony is vibrantly decorated with bright colors and a tropical flair.  Even if you don't get the chance to stay here, you must take a visit to see the “palm print” carpet! Not to mention, former Presidents and celebrities have stayed here a well!

A Palm Beach icon, this lavish building has everything you can dream of for the perfect getaway - great restaurant, on the water, and a Lilly Pulitzer right inside!

An adorable boutique hotel with a great pool and patio area, a favorite by many.

Places to Shop

CJ Laing’s beachy, vibrant clothing matches so well with any Floridian’s lifestyle. They also have another store located in Nantucket!

“Quit your job, buy a ticket, get a tan, fall in love, and never return.”
Shall I say anymore?

The original monogrammed beach bag.  Dying to have one to appear in my closet sometime soon!

I have to admit, I’ve been coveting a pair of their smoking slippers for quite some time! Each uniquely designed, you’ll be sure to find a pair you’ll love!

Until next time,
Jillian
