Summertime Adventures with Hampton Ivy

Skinny scarf & Gingham Print calls for the perfect summertime accessory thanks to Hampton Ivy!

I am excited to announce to all of you that I recently got to collaborate with the wonderful, Hampton Ivy! Her classically coastal style is swoon worthy. It's hard to believe that the summer days are racing ahead of us, and most of the time it is hard to look presentable in the South Florida heat. Hampton Ivy's skinny scarf provides just the finishing touch that pulls any laid-back outfit together. Above are photos of three different ways I love to style the scarf. As shown in the first picture, something different to hide your average black pony tail. When the weather gets brutally hot, I have no other option than having to throw up my hair in a pony tail, the scarf is the finishing accessory that is anything far from dull! Secondly, by creating the scarf in a headband, you can channel into your favorite style icon from the sixties (For me, Jackie O of course!) Finally, by tying the scarf around any of your favorite handbags, it makes a great new addition to something old.

Be sure to Check out Hampton Ivy's website for all of her beautiful accessories and follow her on social media to never miss any of her nautical adventures!

Beachy-Keen: Palm Beach

On this fine summer day, I visited the land of palm trees and all things Lily Pulitzer, Palm beach. The sky was just as blue as the crystal-clear sea that is walking distance from everything. The whole town is stunning. Rachel and I had such a great day basking in the sun, (basking is just an understatement, we were almost melting in the scorching sun.
) But walking Worth Avenue was definitely worth it. Every fashion loves dream, It was so hard not to stop and stare at every storefront. I couldn't pass up the opportunity of stopping by into Vineyard Vines considering they have new arrivals out now! What a perfect excuse to drag Rachel in with me! We had a wonderfully delicious lunch at Tab-oo, such an elegant little place, and ended the day no better way then a dip in the sea. I hope all of you cherish these final days of summer!

Sweet Summertime

Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your 4th of July festivites just as much as I did. Always a holiday I look forward to. Recently, I have been obsessed with this Gingham tank top, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to blog about it. This tank is a summer must, it can easily be worn with jean shorts for an easy, look for the beach, or dress it up easily just as I did for the perfect summer evening. Living in Florida, everyone basically lives year round in Flip Flops. Jack Rogers are perfect for every Floridian lifestyle, as well as everyones summer wardrobe. Jack Rogers provides the classically chic look that is the finishing touch to any summer outfit!

What is your favorite way to celebrate the 4th? I'd love to know!

Jillian

Summer Days at the Vineyard

Martha's Vineyard is unlike any place I've ever visited before, the quaint, coastal town felt as summer is supposed to feel. Despite the fact that the weather felt like Florida's winters! Not to mention the beautiful hotel we stayed in. Everything about the Island made me fall in love with New England, the strolls through Edgartown, going down to the beach, lobster rolls, and admiring all of the sights. Already wanting to be back.

Thanks Harbor View Hotel for the wonderful stay!

Newport is Always a Good Idea

Recently, I came back to the sunshine state after visiting New England and what it's summers have to offer.  My family and I set out on a week's adventure visiting Boston, Martha's Vineyard, and
Newport, taking in everything we possibly can in such limited time.

We couldn't have wished for better weather while we were visiting Newport! The blue skies made the town even more picturesque then it already is. We visited two of opulent mansions in Newport; The Marble House and The Breakers, both so exquisite in their own individual way. It was mind-blowing that these luxurious mansions were once homes!

Later that day, we walked down the scenic Cliff Walk, which overlooks the ocean and all of the lovely homes on the water. I wish I had a bit of a disclaimer before I went, we took the pathway to the right, and found that the paved paths end, and we ended up having to walk through miles on a  cliff!  (I was still wearing my dress and wedges because none of us knew that is where it would take us haha!) I strongly recommend dressing accordingly when going there so you wouldn't make my mistake and have to walk barefoot!
