Weekends are for Brunching!

Hey everyone!
Now that a long week is over, it's great to spend quality time with a great friend. My best friend Julianna is a blogger as well (go and check out her blog ballerinagypsy.blogspot.com, her style is incredible!) so we decided to create our first blog collaboration today. What's a weekend without some brunch and coffee? This little cafe we visited is like a little taste of Paris, what a dream it would be to visit some day!

How are you planning to spend your long weekend? Leave a comment, I'd love to hear!

Xoxo,
Jillian

How to Survive Your Spring Semester (The Successful way)

Hi everyone!
This week began the start of the second semester for me as well as many other students. The Spring semester is always so difficult, it is usually the time where I just wanna throw in the towel and call it a day. I mean, with spring break and summer coming close, it's hard not for us to mentally "check out" from our responsibilities. But don't you dare think to do that! Dare to strive to do even better then the previous semester. It may seem easier said than done, but hopefully it would become a reality to all of you. I've discovered a few helpful tips to help become a more productive student and also will help with striving to do your very best when finishing out the school year.

Take care of yourself..
Always find some time to get some fresh air and exercise. Okay, okay, this seems like the most cliché saying out there, but I've learned it to be true! As a junior in high school the stress of 11th grade really adds up from balancing all of your schoolwork to making time for your family and friends to everything in between. It almost beings to feel unbearable. This year I vowed I would begin to run, just by getting outside and being active really takes a load off of my responsibilities. Running doesn't have to be your thing but simply going for a walk outside can really relive your stress and make you more focused on what you need to accomplish.

Get a Planner...
Planners have helped me tremendously in becoming more productive and efficient with school. There's so many cute ones to choose from its hard to pick just one! I listed a few of my favorites to help you make your pick. Planners are a definite must in becoming more on track with what you need to do. Another promise I've made to myself in the beginning of the school year is to become more and more organized with what I need to turn in, who I need to meet with, and upcoming club meetings or events. With that being said, these help tremendously with all of that! I love color and I've learned to become a organized person so I enjoy color-coding my assignments so I always know what I need to bring and what I don't.

Become a Morning Person..
Become a morning person, did I just say that?? Waking up early is something that EVERYONE hates. Especially if you're up all night studying (or trying to study.) I have learned to enjoy waking up early, strangely. To train yourself to start your day in a good mood, play some up-beat music, drink a glass of ice water, make your bed, make a breakfast you enjoy and drink some good coffee! Little things like these will help motivate you to wake up and smell the roses! Waking up in a good mood will set the course of your day of productivity and success.

Always Find Time for Yourself..
Treat yo self! All of this is obviously extremely important, but you can't get to wrapped up in what you're doing that you don't just give yourself a break! Always make time to do something nice to yourself as a reward for all the hard work you constantly invest in: learn a new recipe, use a bath bomb, spend time with your friends, go shopping! A happy you is a main factor in being productive and finishing strong.

Make sure to comment, I love to hear your thoughts!

XOXO,
Jillian

Happy Sweet (two thousand) '16!

Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe that another new year is already here, it's insane how short 2015 was! Last year was definitely a fun filled year with many new experiences, adventures, and memories along the way; I'm excited too see what this new year has in store for my life as well as Fabulously Floridian! I am so excited to post this considering this outfit is a collection of a few of my favorite pieces I got for Christmas. Today Kyle and I explored a nature center, taking advantage of the warm winter that Florida has to offer.I hope you all have a very sweet 2016 ahead of you and I can't wait to see all that this year brings for everyone!

Merry and Bright

Merry Christmas everyone! I can't get over how today is finally Christmas Day, the excitement of waking up early (the only day when I'm a morning person haha), the anticipation of unwrapping each and every gift, and spending time with loved ones. This Christmas was one to remember with the  lovely gifts I received as well as the company of my family. I hope all of you have enjoyed the Holiday season and have a fabulous Christmas.

'Tis the Season for Entertaining

 '

Hi everyone! The Christmas season is finally in full swing, even though the low has been 73 degrees, doesn't stop from all of the Holiday excitement! I recently finished my brutally stressful, painful and ever-so dreaded midterms week, which comes with the gift of having almost 3 weeks off for Christmas break! I'm so thrilled to be off for Christmas, spending time with my loved ones and doing new things each and every day! I'm planning on making this Christmas break one for the books! With all the time I have off, I'll be posting more frequently with the different adventures I encounter during my hiatus that hopefully all you readers will enjoy! Any who, considering Christmas IS the time for entertaining (and I do enjoy to entertain), also celebrating a successful  finish to my midterms, I decided to host a Christmas brunch with my nearest and dearest friends. I'm a huge breakfast fan and I've been wanting to host a brunch so badly & it came out to be a total success! I set my table with festive Christmas decor and for my center piece I used poinsettias, as well as individually wrapped earrings for my friends to take with them. I served egg sandwiches, fruit salad, mini pancake muffins, a hot chocolate bar, crustless feta cheese and spinach quiche, and to top it off, red velvet cookies for dessert! The brunch was a great kick off to Christmas, as well as getting everyone in the Holiday spirit! I will definitely make this an annual event! What are some of your Christmas traditions?

XOXO,
Jillian
